Room great. Had everything we needed and s good location. There was an issue with the hot water. Midnight on arrival day, we had lovely hot showers. 7:30am the next day, water stone cold. we went out without showering as it was the middle of winter and a cold shower was not tolerable. On return at 7:30pm, water only luke warm for our showers. 3:30am, water steaming hot. Offered to move us to a new room but we were checking out the next morning. It seems there is a problem with there being enough hot water during peak times! Not really good enough! Otherwise, everthing else was fine.

A few weeks after I got home I noticed a charge on my credit card. I followed up and it turns out they'd hit me up for using the minibar - which I hadn't. They never notified me they were charging me and it was only luck that I found it. This is unacceptable, sneaky behaviour.

I didn’t like the additional $100 per night that the hotel holds for security, $400 bond for 4 nights is ridiculous and it takes a while for the money to come back

Overall was ok. The pictures are not what the room actually is, for. Junior suite it looked bigger in the pictures. The bath was tiny and the whole place is pretty outdated, the “spa” was one of those “shower baths”. If they depicted the truth I would not have picked the place for what I wanted but generally if you don’t care about those things it’s ok.

Unfortunately the Stamford is in desperate need of an overhaul. Looking dated. We ordered of the in room dining menu, a couple of sandwiches that came with salad and chips. The chips were not ‘hot chips’. They were potato crisps with sauce on the side. The salad had no dressing and the carrot in it looked days old. Had breakfast in the morning and they had to clear a table for our family, they took away the dishes but didn’t wipe down the tables so we had to sit at a dirty table. Won’t be staying again.
