Great value for a nice, safe, clean, helpful friendly staff and very central hotel. Our room was dark as it looked into a small dark deep courtyard but was fine with lights on in the room, and to base ourselves while we looked around Melbourne.

Overall the location and room itself was quite good. QV Markets a street back, amazing cafe across the street. The pool area is big but being indoors very loud and echoey if full of kids. Room 311 has an air conditioning vent/unit in the storeroom next door and it was so loud it felt like a joke. The window frame was rattling from the vibration. Two nights out of four it was quiet enough, the other two my husband and I were kept awake / woken early by the noise. The hotel offered us a room change, which was appreciated, but also more of a hassle and inconvenience on our busy and short trip with our two small kids (lego purchases spread all over the living room floor!). Originally we booked the family themed room, which became unavailable days before our arrival which was also disappointing. To be in a room we did not book, with a sound that was like a truck changing gears by my bed all night was less than ideal. Luckily the front desk staff were caring and helpful, and the complaint was heard and compensated. For this reason we would stay here again, just not room 311…

We stayed in a studio and a 1 bd apartment while we were there and both rooms were GREAT. What we really loved was the little extras and details. The coffee machines in each room, the amazing pillows, the leather sofas and the executive lounge and terrace. We had a lovely stay, thanks again
