The property was clean and convenient to walking around the city and accessing Southern Cross station.
Bar was crap, Very small lounge area in Foyer. Glass walls of the bathrooms provide no sound privacy and ok if you are comfortable with people seeing your shadow silhouette while you shower. No clocks in the room.
Nice but not worth full price tag. excellent if you get the reduced rates

Lovely hotel with beautiful rooms with comfortable bed and pillows, a coffee pod machine was a nice surprise, good location for trains trams and buses.
The 3pm checkin is pushing the boundaries with traveler's I was not impressed after travelling all night to be told I had to wait hours before checkin.

We had a lovely night stay at the dorsett. The pool and hot tub was great and filled in a couple of hours before dinner. Only down side the pool is the water is far to cold especially being winter. The breakfast was nice and lots of variety. Our room was spotless and very comfy beds. We opted for valet parking and was told to just call 15 mins prior to wanting our car or to let them know a time. 1st time we tried calling at 5:00pm and no answer so requested a call back by 5:30pm we tried again and still no answer, then we tried again at 6:00 and still no answer. We ended up going down to reception and let them know and the reason was they have been busy. Understandable we said thats fine can we please get our car which took atleast 15 mins of us waiting in the lobby. They parked our car down the side and put hazard lights on and left it running in the middle of the road and we had to go ask for our keys rather then them coming to us. The next morning we tried calling again to have our car ready for checkout and again no answer or call back so we went downstairs and checked out and was told to have a seat and wait. After waiting 30 minuets my husband said he was going to go outside to see if it was there and sure enough it was, i had to go to the reception and get our keys and said it would have been nice if someone could have let us know it was there to which the response sorry we have been really busy, doesn't take much to say here are your keys your car is ready.

Great value for money. Needs to extend room service to all days even if minimal selection and replenishment of tea and coffee etc daily and replacement of wet/ dirty towels in keeping with this standard of hotel. Overall it was a lovely stay. We had issues with streaming, phone to reception and key card but all were promptly resolved. Late check out a winner
